This light is used in recreational, commercial and military industries for power boats and sailboats up to 50 meters (164 feet).
Used on U.S.C.G. inspected vessels under 20 meters (65 feet).
For inspected vessels over 20 meters, U.S.C.G. requires Underwriters Laboratories Standard UL 1104 certification. Signal Mate commercial UL 1104 Certified lights.
